Well I love my trips to Norfolk, and this one was no different. The horses all went well, and what a super event as ever, but While walking the course in the morning, my beloved Whippet,Twiggy (otherwise known as my 'Gorgeous Girl') was having a good run and collided with a wire fence, slicing all her legs open, and severing her tail. She was rushed to the vets down the road by Tulas owner Georgie and Chattys owner Merna. Thankfully she is fine, all be it minus some tail, and with the addition of alot of stitches. I cannot thank all who helped her while I was a jibbering wreck enough! This sadly did cast a slight shadow over the day, as we were all worried about her. However Tula and Spider did super tests, and Chatty is improving all the time posting a 36. The going in the sj was bottomless, and this reflected the jumping results, with Tula and Spider dropping one rail each and chatty two. With the going a little deep I took them all steady across country and all went brilliantly. I am very excited about all of them. Each very different, but with lots to give. Sapey next! Gorgeous Gilr is well on her way to recovering with lots of pain killers!
